Values sharing through Uniqlo’s clothing

Ilonggo clothing shoppers need not travel far to other mega-cities in the country or in other parts of the world in order to grab the latest LifeWear by Japan’s leading specialty retailer Uniqlo as it opens its first branch in Iloilo City this June 17.

“We at Uniqlo are thrilled to launch our first branch in Iloilo this season in our aim to bring our high-quality and innovating pieces closer to the Ilonggos, said Geraldine Sia, general manager of Uniqlo Philippines.

“The Uniqlo Iloilo Branch will offer its full range of everyday LifeWear essentials for men, women, and children which includes shirts, pants, propriety product such as AIRism and our newest line, Uniqlo Sports,” added Sia.

Uniqlo’s Philippines general manager Geraldine Sia and its public relations officer Jasmin Cruz together with SM City Iloilo’s public relations officer Troy Camarista led in hosting the media tour for members of Iloilo media and bloggers’ community in Iloilo last June 14 in order to introduce Uniqlo’s wide-array of clothing on display.

 

 

Applying Japanese values to clothing

Uniqlo is known for its comfortable, functional and stylish clothing line called LifeWear, a type of apparel developed by Uniqlo which follows the Japanese values of simplicity, quality and longevity.

LifeWear is a clothing characteristic known to be among essential consideration by the Ilonggo market who usually goes for simple yet uncompromising in terms of quality and with longevity and affordability in mind. For this reason, the retailing company’s values applied in clothing will make the Uniqlo brand hit among Ilonggos.

Better cooling with AIRism

Another line introduced by Uniqlo is AIRism. It is light as air and its pieces offer more than just cooling or moisture-wicking clothing for it is packed with comfortable technology.

AIRism is most ideal innerwear for office or school uniform being breathable and it can be worn over other Uniqlo tops.

In addition, the store also presents Pique Polo Shirts which features a distinctive dry technology that dries sweat quickly and suppresses odors. It is considered ideal for the Philippines known for its sun and heat all throughout the year.

Expanding market

The opening of Uniqlo’s first branch in Iloilo is part of its continuing expansion by opening large-scale stores in some parts of the world’s most important cities and locations. It is also part of Uniqlo’s ongoing effort to solidify its status as a truly global brand with more than 1,700 stores in 17 markets worldwide.
