The Neptune Pittman’s Garden Resort is a sprawling 1.2 hectares botanical garden in Brgy. Tastasan, Buenavista, Guimaras. It is an endearing venue for travelers who prefer a quite and private atmosphere and undeniably a botanist’s haven.
The garden resort is just a 10-minute ride by tricycle from the Buenavista Wharf and established by the couple Charles and Neptune Pittman in 2007.
The garden features some of the rare finds and pricey exotic plants and ornamental flowers. These plants and flowers are maintained by around 10 personnel and are well-propagated for gardener-clients and aficionados in Guimaras, Panay Island, Negros, Cebu, Davao, and Manila. It has an herbarium which showcases medicinal plants and herbs.
The botanical garden is likewise sought after by plants and horticulture habitués, agriculture and botany students and workers from different government agencies who are interested to learn about the different plant species, make a research on how these plants are being cultivated, and learn about organic farming and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).

Every nook and cranny of the resort is ‘Instagrammable.’ This is the reason why there are visitors who are travelling all the way to the Neptune Pittman’s Garden Resort for a day trip just to have photos taken on its gardens, woodhouse, cottage, and fishpond. The resort is complete with facilities: air-conditioned rooms, VIP rooms, and function rooms for meetings and seminars and an ideal venue for a garden-setting wedding and family events.
Travelers to Guimaras can enjoy the amenities offered by the garden resort. It has a secured perimeter with a swimming pool, a basketball and tennis court, and a spa.
Complementing the garden resort is a 5-hectares organic and livestock farm. It has a free-range chicken, goat, and native pigs and it maintains a riceland and a vegetable farm which grows high value crops like lettuce and cucumber, and the more familiar day-to-day household food ingredients. These farm produce boosts the farm-to-table menu of its restaurant and bar.
An overnight guest at the garden resort can witness the changing colors of the garden landscape from sunrise down to sunset while relishing over its famous Veggie Burger and a selection of healthy beverage made from natural ingredients like malunggay, camote, passion fruit, and calamansi. These natural juices produced by Neptune Pittman’s Garden Resort are also being supplied to the different schools in support of the Dept. of Education’s program of offering young students a healthy and nutritious beverage alternative.
The Neptune Pittman’s Garden Resort also showcases a community engagement project with Guimaras salt farmers in partnership with the Lopez Group Foundation. The project offered a value-adding to the raw salt being produced by the farmers by coming up with a flavored salt under a brand name Asindera.
The flavored salt has an attractive packaging and it is useful for marinade and for specific food seasoning having flavors like Iba (averrhoa), ginger, tamarind, green mango, and blue ternate.
The Neptune Pittman’s Garden Resort is a member of the Philippine Horticulture Society, the Philippine Orchid Society, and a Dept. of Tourism accredited resort in Guimaras.
