[In Photos] Rock Drilon’s As You Start to Paint, The Painting Paints Itself

The show As You Start To Paint, The Painting Paints Itself  is Rock Drilon’s fourth solo exhibit in Iloilo City since his comeback in 2012. It was opened at the Mamusa Art Bistro at the Festive Walk Parade of Megaworld Iloilo.

The exhibit is an introductory show of Mamusa for a new decade of arts engagement in Iloilo City.
 
Rock Drilon is a revered figure in contemporary art in the Philippines. He is a Dumangasanon who  studied Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines in Diliman under the mentorship of National Artist Jose Joya. He is part of a generation of artists whose works were instrumental in shaping contemporary art in the country.

In 2015, Rock Drilon shared his works in the show Iloilo Period. It was followed by Untitled in 2016 and by the Bicycle Series in 2018.
