UP Visayas to unveil P360-M Library Complex project in Miag-ao Campus

The University of the Philippines Visayas will again embark on another momentous event – unveil the plan for the new UPV Main Library Complex at the Administration Main Lobby at its Miagao campus.

The miniature prototype of the edifice will be turned over by the contractor who designed the building to UP Visayas in an event today, October 7, 2020.

According to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Administration, the UP Main Library was a project which was started during the leadership of Chancellor Rommel Espinosa. It was originally budgeted with a P146-million allocation.

The plan got some revision under Chancellor Ricardo Babaran to become a Phase 2, now with an allocation of P360M and it included a world-class library, a theatre-type audio-visual hall, and the Executive Offices.

The ceremony will be attended by the UPV Officials, faculty, and staff. It is open to the public and will be live streamed on the official UPV online sites.

The UP Visayas Main Library Complex is funded by the National Government.
