The Dept. of Tourism Region VI (DOT-VI) has released an advisory that work at the regional office will be suspended starting August 3, 2020 (Monday).
The advisory was released August 1 and it stated that the “office and its premises need immediate and thorough cleaning and disinfection” as the reason behind the suspension order.
Resumption of work remains indefinite for the advisory stated “until further notice.”
It however emphasized that DOT-VI and TIEZA Travel Tax Unit shall continue its operations under a work from home and alternative work arrangement.
The advisory is a pinned post at the DOT-VI Facebook page as of Sunday (August 2). Although it did not bare the signature of Regional Director Atty. Helen J. Catalbas, the advisory is also present and shared by Director Catalbas on her personal Facebook timeline and story.
The advisory is also disseminated by several DOT-VI personnel on their respective social media accounts.
The DOT-VI regional office is located at the Ground Floor (Right Wing) of Casa Real, within the Iloilo Provincial Capitol Complex.
