Art, music, food at Iloilo Capitol this Dinagyang

The Iloilo Provincial Government is joining the Iloilo Dinagyang Festival 2020 with art, music, and food starting January 20 up to the 26th, the festival highlight.

The festival guests and travelers to Iloilo City will have the opportunity to enjoy the events being lined-up in “Dagyang sa Kapitolyo” – a welcome venue upon the entrance to the city’s downtown area where the main program is concentrated.

There will be a launching of trade exhibits featuring local products at the Casa Real de Iloilo covered walkway on January 20. In the evening, there will be an opening of the Dinagyang lights at the Capitol lobby.

Starting January 23, locals and guests can chill and relax at the coffee shops and bars in Casa Real while jamming with the local bands which will feature local Ilonggo talents.

Art aficionados can visit the Grand Ballroom for the viewing and sale of paintings by Ilonggo artists. A sketching and tattoo painting is also being set up at the lobby.

There will be a Zumba activity in the afternoon and an encore performance from Capitol employees who participated in the “Dance of the Decade” contest last Christmas.

The Capitol Grounds will be a venue for merry-making and “sadsad” or street-dancing activity starting 7:00 P.M. at the Capitol grounds.

“These activities are for free. Dagyang sa Kapitolyo is open for everybody, said Provincial Administrator Atty. Suzette Mamon.

“We have prepared these activities for our the Ilonggos and for our visitors and guests to enjoy, added Mamon.

The festival highlight will be on January 26 (Sunday) with an Ati Tribe Competition.
