Iloilo City Government has received additional support this time from property giant Megaworld after the city was placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
In March 23, 1,000 liters of disinfectant alcohol was turned over to the City Government for the use of its healthcare and medical personnel who are working in various hospitals and public health centers.
Various barangays who were affected by the ECQ also 3,000 grocery packs.
Another set of grocery packs was also distributed to 800 construction workers at the Iloilo Business Park who are affected by the work stoppage due to the ongoing enforcement of ECQ. The grocery package contained rice, noodles, and canned meat products.
In addition, personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) who are assigned as border security on various entry and exit posts around the city also got food packs.
“We are extending our helping hand to the people of Iloilo during this challenging time,” said Megaworld’s chief strategy officer Kevin Andrew L. Tan.
“We hope that our donation will be able to help the various communities in Iloilo City, most especially our healthcare workers and frontliners,” added Tan.
