Carelon Global Solutions Philippines, a company specializing in contact center and clinical nurse operations, officially inaugurated a new site in Western Visayas at SM Strata Tower 1 in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

The launch marked a significant milestone for the organization, expanding its presence to five locations across the region. Carelon Global Solutions Philippines Chief Country Executive Nicki Agcaoili led the inauguration, underscoring the company’s continued investment in regional development.
“This expansion in office space supports not only the goal for Western Visayas to become the HIMS capital of the world, but also signifies the next phase in Carelon’s growth—with enhanced capabilities, increased capacity, and deeper investment in innovation and talent development in the region,” Agcaoili said. HIMS refers to the healthcare information management services sector.
The expansion in Iloilo followed the unveiling of Carelon’s Innovation Hub in Taguig last May—a dynamic space designed to foster creativity and collaboration among associates.
Growing Capabilities, Expanding Opportunities
Alongside the new facilities, Carelon also announced a significant expansion in its service capabilities. From around 80 in the previous year, the organization’s offerings have grown to nearly 100 distinct capabilities.
“These capabilities are strategically deployed across sites to ensure business continuity and promote talent development,” Agcaoili explained. “This enhancement in services is part of a broader goal—to create meaningful opportunities and nurture the world-class Filipino workforce.”
Western Visayas as Emerging HIMS Capital
Agcaoili also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Western Visayas as an emerging hub for the HIMS industry.
“We are partnering with local government units not only in Iloilo but in surrounding cities to develop talent and support the region’s HIMS aspirations,” he said during the inauguration. “With the region’s infrastructure, innovation, and growing demand, Western Visayas is well-positioned to become the HIMS capital of the Philippines.”
The company has also taken inclusive steps by welcoming senior citizens and persons with disabilities into its workforce, providing fulfilling career opportunities regardless of background or prior healthcare experience.
Carelon projects that it will reach its target of 10,000 full-time employees across its Metro Manila and Western Visayas sites by the end of the year. Of this, 5,000 associates are expected to be based in Iloilo, supporting the region’s goal of becoming the HIMS capital.
Recognized for Workplace Culture and Industry Leadership
Carelon Global Solutions continues to gain national recognition for its workplace culture. It was recently ranked 9th Best Workplace in the Philippines (for companies with over 1,000 employees) by Great Place To Work, a global authority on workplace culture. It also placed 15th on the 2025 list of the Best Workplaces in IT-BPM.
For the fifth consecutive year, the company has been certified as a Great Place To Work, reflecting its commitment to fostering a high-trust, employee-centered work environment.
“We have systems and processes in place to ensure that our associates are cared for, holistically healthy, and empowered to be the best versions of themselves,” said Agcaoili. “That’s what translates to the quality of work we deliver.”
At the Solaia: The IT-BPM Awards 2025, Carelon Global Solutions Philippines was named a finalist in several key categories, including Global Capability Center of the Year, Company for Regional Development of the Year, and HIMS Company of the Year.
“Solaia” is an annual awards platform recognizing companies and individuals driving growth, innovation, and resilience in the IT-BPM sector.
“Every incentive and benefit we give our associates starts with one word: care,” Agcaoili added. “That’s the reason we’re recognized as one of the best workplaces in the country.”
